I'm very impressed and thankful to all who work in Clifden pharmacy. Despite being a very busy pharmacy I have always been able to ask the pharmacist questions and know that I am getting good, honest advice whether for myself or just a general enquiry about prescribed medication and " natural " contraindications. A lot of people aren't aware that some herbal or alternative remedies can interact with medications prescribed by a Dr. Always ask your pharmacist if you are taking a natural medicine or planning to use in conjunction with those prescribed by your Dr as in some cases it can diminish or result in the prescribed medication being more potent. There are also certain health conditions that an OTC natural medicine is not safe to take. Being able to seek advice from a pharmacist and having a private consultation is invaluable and can free up non urgent GP appts.
